Sophie (Manager of ACE Longleaze Club, SENCO and DSL)

With two children of my own I understand how important your children are to you, and the responsibility of choosing the right place for your childcare.
I have been working in childcare for 10 years, running after-school clubs in Swindon and Cheltenham, as well as being a deputy manager/SENCO for a Pre-school in Cheltenham. I have had a passion for childcare since a very young age, which I have followed my whole life. I even have the honour of starting my career with Mrs Ladva, as a playworker at ACE Club!
The best bit about working with children, is being a part of their journey into becoming an adult, helping them the grow into independent young people, and being a part of creating some of their lifelong memories and friendships.
Over the years I have specialised and have a real fulfilment, in supporting children with behaviour difficulties. With an ethos, children are never given up on, and every day is a new day. I love den-making, sports and playing card games, although I’m not always in session, you may see me about and when covering for managers/staff.

Rachel (Deputy Manager)

I have always loved working with children. I started babysitting when I was younger and ever since I knew that was what I wanted to do. Working at ACE has expanded the age group I work with, having previously worked in early years, and it’s been amazing. It’s always great to see how much the children enjoy the activities we plan for them and how they get to do it themselves.

Imogen (Manager)

I have experiencing with working with children for 8 years through a variety of roles. I hold a level 1, 2 and 3 in Childcare and I am also a qualified swimming teacher. I have been working at ACE club for 5 years, starting off as a student, becoming a play worker and then being promoted to manager. During my time at ACE club, I have been fortunate enough to gain qualifications such as Advanced Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid. I enjoy seeing the children start out in reception and growing into healthy, happy, independent young adults. I enjoy supporting children to extend their play and providing them with unique experiences.

Amber (Playworker)

I am a student at Wilthire College, studying hairdressing. I volunteer at a local swimming club, teaching children how to swim. I am level 2 qualified in Childcare. I enjoy arts and crafts with the children, spending time with them.

Rhiannon (Playworker)

I have had a passion for working alongside children, meaning I am now training towards becoming a dance teacher and gaining a qualification in paediatric first aid. I find it rewarding seeing children explore their creative side and grow in confidence.
